Liverpool China Partnership (LCP)
an award-wining organisation

LCP set up in 2015 to expand Liverpool and the city region’s business, academic and civic partnerships with China.

The organisation facilitates purpose driven relationships with China, and delivers expert guidance and support across civic engagement, trade and investment, health and education, culture and tourism, media and sport. The services it provides complement the activities of the UK Department for International Trade and other partner organisations.

LCP currently has 20+ member organisations from the public, private, higher education sectors. As well as covering the city region, the partnership has members from the Isle of Man, Cheshire and West Yorkshire.

LCP won the Department for International Trade's Greater China Awards the Rising Star Award in 2022 for contribution and success in facilitating business partnerships with China, and Special Recognition Award in 2020 for its work in China and the outcomes of a five-day business, health and academic mission to Shanghai in April 2019.

LCP's former Chairman Paul Kallee-Grover was awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List in 2021 for his export promotion and foreign direct investment support with China in the North West of England through LCP. Gary Millar has been the LCP elected Chair since January 2023.

Paul Kallee-Grover MBE (2019-2023), Ellen Cutler (2018-2019) and Max Steinburg CBE (2015-2018) are former Chairs of the LCP.
